The morning program will address the environmental issues of the Marcellus Shale infrastructure development, from environmental permitting strategies to litigation considerations. Kim Hummel Childe, Chief Counsel for PA'’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) will be featured on the panel with speakers from MGKF. Discussions will also include a summary of the Governor's Marcellus Shale Advisory Commissions Report, and provide some insight on the next wave of environmental issues to face Marcellus Shale infrastructure development.

Environmental Issues Associated with Real Estate Development in the Marcellus Shale Region
1:30 - 4:15 p.m.
The Marcellus Shale gas play has brought new real estate development and redevelopment opportunities to this region. The afternoon program will present an overview of environmental issues associated with development and redevelopment projects in Pennsylvania, including liability protections under Act 2, buyer-seller agreements, environmental due diligence, development permits and insurance. The program will also include a discussion of public funding opportunities.
