Biography:

Matthew C. Sullivan, an associate at Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox LLP, has extensive experience counseling clients on issues related to regulatory compliance, litigation, and transactional matters, particularly in the areas of brownfield redevelopment, enforcement actions, and business transactions. He has represented clients ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to individuals, in complex matters including the following:
  • defense and resolution of state and federal water quality and waste disposal enforcement actions and negotiation of consent decrees and administrative consent orders covering complex site operations and appropriate supplemental environmental projects;
  • preparation of responses and negotiations with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ("EPA") regarding information requests relating to various alleged violations at recycling facilities nationwide as well as local college campuses and residential complexes;
  • advice to clients on federal and state environmental regulations and means and methods for achieving compliance;
  • appeals of permits before the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board for municipal waste concerns;
  • appeals of EPA regulations governing allowable air emissions from various types of facilities nationwide; and
  • advice to clients on environmental issues and risk related to transactions with market values up to several million dollars.

While attending law school, Matt served as secretary of the Morrisville Borough (Pennsylvania) planning commission and also served as the editor-in-chief of the Temple International & Comparative Law Journal. He currently serves on the Board of Commissioners of Nether Providence Township, Pennsylvania.
