John S. Kirk

Biography:

John S. Kirk is a Certified Legal Manager and the Director of Administration for our firm. He has worked in the legal industry for over 25 years, first in litigation support consulting, and later in law firm management and administration. Before joining Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP, John was the Director of Finance and Administration for Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple, P.C., a law firm in Massachusetts.

John is a past president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators ("ALA"), and past chair of the ALA Certification Committee. He is also a fellow in the College of Law Practice Management. Additionally, John has been active with ALA in many other capacities, including serving as the chair of the 1994 Annual Education Conference, and as a member of its Board of Directors. He currently serves as Chair of ALA's Business Partner Relations Committee and on the Education Committee for the Greater Philadelphia Green Business Program. John was the recipient of the 2011 "Spirit of the ALA Award"—the highest honor of the association for his unique achievements.

John has also lectured and written on issues of sustainability and green office practices for The Legal Intelligencer and ALA publications, and ALA education programs.
