If I Own or Intend to Develop Property in PA, Is the PA State Water Plan Something That Is Important to Me?

Yes. The PA State Water Plan is scheduled to be issued early next year, culminating a five year process to evaluate, in a fresh and holistic manner, the way that water resources are used, managed and regulated in PA. While not a regulatory document itself, the State Water Plan will very likely have important ramifications for a variety of state and local regulatory programs that affect property owners and developers, and may strongly influence the future direction of such programs. In addition, the State Water Plan will include information of significant value to private parties in helping make decisions about where to locate particular types of projects and risk factors that may be associated with specific locations.
